In moving to a new apartment I flattened the neck of the circular stand with the monitor LG flatiron slim 19" into the box. Went very easily. Now when I put up my computer the stand of the monitor...

On my HP monitor on the stand, I have a locking mechanism that doesn't allow the display to be raised. I need to press a button on the stand while pushing down the display, then the button is possible to be pressed down. then while holding it down, I can pull the display upwards as much as it comes.

the stand locks in my case when pushed all the way in.

Maybe this is the same thing on yours? Maybe not?

Hi we have samsung lcd 22 inchess.. we need to fix it to wall and there is no backside stand .. how can we get the stand

Most electronic stores sell wall mounting brackets. There are several types. one mounts the LCD screen flat to the wall with a limited range of tilt. Another type mount the LCD screen on an arm that allows tilt and swing movements.

Opening the monitor

These are a snap to open.
Put a towel on a flat surface like the dining table.
Remove the 2 screws that hold the stand in and slide the stand out of the hole.
Remove the screw in each of the 2 bottom corners.
Remove the screw in the middle at the bottom (it was under the stand to begin with but some do not have it for some reason.)
Now comes the easy part.
Put a few fingers onto the section the power plug goes into.
Tuck your thumbs into the hole left by the stand.
Push into the power plug section downwards with your fingers at the same time pull upwards with your thumbs. The rear panel should pop up. Gently pop it all around the edges.

Hope that helps =)

Dell 19" Flat Screen Monitor

I have a DELL 2405 FPW. I had trouble the first time finding the button but it was at the very bottom of the stand under the cable channel. I'm pretty sure if it won't move up and down that it's locked in the down position. See if you have a button that will allow it to slide.

This is how I did it.

1- Remove the four screws in the back of the monitor. Two are in the bottom corners and two more near the bottom center ( these hold the stand in place).
2- Remove the stand.
3-The case back is held on by the four screws and a number of plastic pressure clips. After removing the screws: using a fairly wide flat bladed screw driver; insert the blade in either of the two slots on the bottom edge of the case and twist with medium force. This begins the seperation of the back from the rest of the monitor. As the crack widens, begin moving the blade of the screw driver along the widening crack (around the case edge) and twisting gently. This releases each pressure clip in turn. Separate the case back from the rest of the monitor.

I did this this way with my monitor. It works.
Good luck.
