You don't say what model this is...but on gas fryers the number one reason it doesn't light, is that people don't hold the switch down long enough. There is a safety on there, and it has to be held down long enough for the sensor to tell the fryer to light. Our service tech, Ray, walks people through this all the time, and they generally are just not holding the button down long enough. Call him if you like and he can walk you through it... Ray @ 888-542-5959, Restaurant Equipment Outlet, Cincinnati, Ohio... We can order parts too if you need them and/or we do sell new/used equipment and smallwares. Thanks, Susan REO
You have to switch the orfices out to smaller ones for LP Gas. We can order the parts for you, if you need a parts order. Call Ray at 888-542-5959 with any questions, parts order, and pricing. We are Restaurant Equipment Outlet, located in Cincinnati, Ohio, and parts orders ship in 1-2 days... Thanks, Susan REO
I have the Euro Pro F1066 and love it. But, I called the Euro Pro people and found that there is NO replacement filter. If you go to their site and put in the model number, it shows only the following accessories can be ordered. This is from the Eoro Pro site:
Accessories
Oil Container & Lid
Replacement Fryer Basket
Replacement Control Panel with Element (1700 Watts - U.S. unit)
Power Cord
Replacement Basket Handle
Call 1-800-798-7395 to order
So, the only way to get a new filter is to purchase the Oil Container & Lid which would come with a new filter in the lid. I am trying to figuire a way to rework the original filter but have had no luck so far. I hope this helps answer your question ;-)
If the lid will not stay open, there should be a small spring in the hinge. I am not sure of your model, But some have a safety interlock that will not allow operation with the lid open. These usually have a feature of raising and lowering the basket with the lid closed like some chemistry experiment!
What's wrong with a manual wire basket?
If the spring is not fitted correctly, or missing, it's fiddly but not impossible to replace.
