Maybe the battery moves around just wedge something such as paper ,aluminum, napkin in the sides but not the side the battery is in to hold the battery in one place so it should not shut off

Don't push hard the buttons from your Imate Jazjam. I know you may still use it as a normal pda but it is not responding properly, right? I can only recommend to bring your PDA to a service center to further check the hardware error.
If you want to reset your Imate, just check a small button underneath, and by using your stylus, just press it gently to reset the system of your Imate.

To perform a hard reset
1. Press and hold the Comm Manager button and Voice Command
button on the device.
2. Keep the two buttons pressed, and at the same time, use the
stylus to lightly press and hold the RESET button.
i had same with my phone,, Its ok now, what i did- just check your battery points if they are clean, and battery is well placed int he housing...... good luck,, else try soft reset...... do it on your own risk..
Ok ur prob is booting.....? I think u have extra storage card inserted in ur hand set so just remove the card and restart the system, it will boot. and if still the prob continues its OS prob, u should take it to the nearer i-mate service centre.
HARD RESET PROCEDURE hold down the power button and push the reset. You don't have to use a paper clip if you've styles fits, but don't use anything sharp, such as a safety pin. This should return your PDA to the way it came from the box.
