Xbox coming up with "secure hdcp link lost??" was working fine till i played cd now wont play dvd - help
If your Xbox 360 will not read disc this is not normally anything wrong with the drive but more that the drive has shut down because of the heat it is taking.
You will need to fix it you can do with a good guide or you can send it in and they will fix it for you.
SOURCE: 360 drive only reads dvds, not xbox 360 games, just says put in an xbox 360 console.
how do i flash drive
SOURCE: My xbox 360 won't read my disks
if it does this with all the disks then your drive is either 1.drive is bad 2.firmware is corrupt. i would assume that your drive is bad, unless you have tried to hack your drive firmware and corrupted it. if you did try and hack the drive send me an email at [email protected] and i can tell you how to reverse it.

Sounds like your laser has died, or your drives spindel motor not allowing the console to recognize any form of media.
We offer competitivley priced repairs and a 12 month warranty on all new lasers.

SOURCE: My Xbox 360 Won't read, not one disk.
Lens cleaners don't work very well . they tend to smear the
dust and dirt around in side the drive.
I have yet to find a dirty laser in an xbox 360 . This is
due to the high rpm of the drive sweeps most dust
away from the lens
It is more likely the laser is weak or dead .
The cost for a replacement is around 80.00 . 35.00 if you do
it yourself . feel free to email me if you have any questions.

Hi
there abtorres97
What
to do when your Xbox Has problems with reading disks and you have
tried cleaning the disk.
This
does not mean your Disk Drive needs replacing more often than not it
just needs the laser to be readjusted.
Option
1
You
can send this off to Microsoft if your still in warranty because it
is included in there free fixes so they will do the collecting for
you, fix it and return the Xbox to you, all for free, but it will
take 4-6 weeks.
Option
2
If
you are out of warranty its the same process as above but its $130 in
cost
Option
3
now
a new Disk drive would cost around $75 for a compatible one and you
may need some one to fit it at a cost as well.
Option
4
What
I recommend is a XBOX
REPAIR GUIDE that will show you the simple steps yourself, you
will be up and running again in less than an hour and the cost is far
less than option 2 & 3
Good
Luck
