Hitachi 43FDX10B Power problem

When the power button is pushed, the red light in the front just blinks and it looks like there are 4 green LEDs in the back that should light up and 2 of them flashs to a clicking/chirping noise for about 5 seconds before shutting off, one stays on continuously, and one doesnt turn on at all. there is another red LED that stays on right near the outside of the backside throughout this process. Could anyone tell me what this problem is and if it is fixable? Thanks a ton.

when turning on the unit by either remote or front switch, the red light comes on momentarily then shuts off, there is a clicking sound from the unit, when viewing from behind, through the panel, Hitachi recommended unplugging then plugging back in, a few green lights were visible then disappeared within seconds.

In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

When i turn on my tv it tries to boot, blue mitsubishi home screen come up, i hear fan then it all shuts off while green light blinks.

Try a reset. Start by unplugging for 1 minute, then plug back in & if still won't restart try the following. If none of the following work, you will need a technician.

Have an hitachi 53uwx10ba red light on front is on but no tv

on some TVs, the lights do not turn off so that is not that big of a deal.  If you want to make sure, unplug the TV and then push and hold the power button for about 30 sec.  Then plug the TV back in and that should fix the light if it is stuck. (Pushing the power button wile unplugged will reset the system default!)

No picture or sound

Remove the rear panel. With the TV on you should see a red LED near the center of the PCB. There should also be 5 green leds, 3 to the left a 2 behind. If there is no red leds, check the fuses. If there are no green leds or maybe 1 or 2, disconect PSD5. It's a connector on the left side of the power board that connects to the audio board. It's the 3rd on fro the back. It's labled. With that disconected, turn on the set and look for the green leds. If all 5 light, the power supply is OK and you have a problem beyond that. If they don't all light you have a bad power supply.

Red on/off indicator light never turns off

I had that same problem intermittently for about six months. Now I have no picture, just three small vertical lines in the center of the screen. One red, one green and one blue. Can anyone help? I know its outdated but I'd hate to throw the set in the dumpster if it just needs a little mainentance.

Chirping noise and flashing front power light.

Theres a short somewhere in the set. Most likly the HOT is shorted or the vertical IC has caused this in the past. In one case I had shorted convergence IC cause this symptom.. This set is solid state and there are no user serviceable parts inside so please call a trained tech to assist you with this problem Good Luck
