Question about Refrigerators
Replaced Kenmore side-by-side ice maker. How long before it starts making ice? An hour later and it still hasn't filled with water.
It should have made at least one batch of ice by now. Make sure the water is on to the ice maker. Also the water line should have the air bleed out of it. It might have opened the solenoid valve and only got air.

sounds like your freezer isn't freezing lift up the wire arm on the ice maker to shut it off then put your finger where the ice cubes should be and if the water isn't frozen you may have a cooling problem listen to see if you hear the freezer fan running then look at the bottom of the freezer at the back wall where the vents are and see if they are blocked with frost and reply to me

sounds like the watervalve is failing and also most likely the shutoff to the waterline for the frig is plugged or not allowing the water to flow properly then try jto shutoff the saddlevalve and open it all the way again then try the water again if no results replace the waterline shut off min in cost at locations like menards they are 6.00 and less and are the type you have to drill a 1/4'' hole and install also it you are have the ability if water still not flow then replace the valve at the rear of the frig
