Question about Sony Network Walkman NW-HD3 MP3 Player

Error cannot play track

I try and play tracks on my sony nw-hd3 mp3 player but all i get is 'error cannot play track' please help me sort this problem out. regards Clive

Install the player cd into your pc and then transfer the song through the software.

Beeping--not playing


it is possible that there is a fault in the drive, your belt also could be the culprit. remove the covers carefully, use the right tools only, replace belt but be carreful of the tender pcb. clean the head using a good cleaner, clean the pinch roller and transport tracks. I think this should give the relief.OK.

hi have you istalled the correct software that came with it.
if you have then it could be that the tracks you have put on it are in wrong format.
you can change the format by using search engine and type in change format you need to change them to mp3 also delete whats on their and start again if you use something like limewire you can get tunes for free and after downloading them store them in file then you can drag and drop them onto your mp3

I have a Sony NW-E405 mp3 player. I have downloaded the SonicStage. I have istaled it. Now I manged to copy with this tool some songs to the divice. When I play them from the device but via the GUI of the...


The songs have a DRM protection system on them that the player does not recognize. Only transfer tracks that are in mp3 format to bypass a lot of problems.

first off when you transfered them using the sonicstage software it put what are called digital media rights that locked that file to the pc that loaded it, dont worrie there is a way... open up the mp3 player in one window and find the music you want drag it over to your desktop, then get a program called tunebite and that should help

Format Error


I hade just that prob. "format error" used to display. I did this:
1. dwl sonicStage (free)
2.- in the walkman went to menu/initialize/format
then displayed a confirmation screen, I confirmed
it displayed "formating...... COMPLETE"
3.- THEN plugged into the PC and transfered songs with Sonic
and it worked!

Sony esupport says the track is damaged and has to be deleted and then reloaded - assuming you've got the track saved seperately in another format like mp3

hi nina,
i can solve ur problem. u jus have to download the sony sonic stage 4.3 software in ur pc. through this software u have to transfer ur music files to ur mp3 player, then it will work, u would get this software in the official site of sony.
