If it looks 3d and will not adjust in the customer mode(convergence) you have a convergence circuit problem.
Get me the model number off the back--it should begin with a VS or WS or WT followed by 5 numbers and I will tell you what may be involved fixing it.
For most of the WS & WT series sets I have start to finish step by step instructions for this kind of repair.
If this information helped you rate this solution as I do this here for free.

Or like:
Re-soldering will not help. I have seen dozens of these sets with this kind of problem--this model uses two of the STK-392-570 Convergence chips.
What happens a lot with this part is it becomes flaky and convergence may jump in or out---seen over 50 sets like yours and replacing both chips cured the problem in ALL of them.
Also considering the chips are about 14 dollars for a pair (set uses two) and the trouble to get at them--it is better to just replace them and be done with it. (A GOOD SELLER IS ON EBAY-WHERE I BUY MINE.)
I do have START TO FINISH, STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR THIS REPAIR in this model--tell you everything you will need and how to do it. The instructions are a little too long to post here except in several parts one at a time.
I have seen several of these sets that use this part where when they are unsoldered the pins just fall out--broken loose inside the chip.
Let me know if you want the instructions and how you want me to get them to you.

The Model is WS-55807. We were messing around with the circuit and looking this up on the internet. It is said that usually re-soldering usually is the solution.
What do you think?
