AVR-2307CI, Auto Room Set Up problem

I have the system all connected up and am trying to run the AUTO ROOM SET UP configuration to set up my speakers. It runs through the program, while the LCD displays which speaker its measuring, there is loud static noise, then the LCD display shows, ANALYZING the particuliar speaker. Once it finishes, I am getting a CAUTION! PHASE display on the LCD display. There is nothing in the book about it, and I dont think it finishes the auto room set up. I really want to configure the speakers so its ready to play, and I am pretty sure all connectrions are correct. Any suggestions?

Not the case. I have checked everything, and in a closer look at the error message I am getting, it says that all the speakers I have hooked up are supposedly out of phase. I know thats definitely not the case. I have gone through everything and made sure all connections are correct, and that all polarities are correct, however I am still getting the error message, CAUTION! PHASE, FL/FR, SL/SR.

I just continued on, and skipped over the error message. I talked to some Denon guys over the phone, and they said there are speakers out there that for some reason send a signal back to the reciever telling it that the polarity is wrong. They told me to just skip it for its harmless, and the reciever will remember the test even though it says there is a CAUTION message. Also, they said it could be that at one point when hooking it up, the polarity was reversed and the error message was displayed. They said there may be an internal memory that might have to be reset or cleared before if will conduct a new system test or check. Anyway, by skipping over the CAUTION message I can store the set up test into the memory of the reciever. It appears to have worked, as the surround sound is working properly now.

Thanks for all the help, this is a pretty damned cool website. I will have to bookmark this for later reference!

    Thanks a bunch again.

I set remote on "cool"

Hi there, this is a 21/2 ton split system. You can lower it to 68 degrees, but I wouldn't go any lower then that.Auto is for the fan only, it cycles on and off in the auto position, and in the on setting it runs all the time even when the cooling stops just to circulate the air. You can try and leave it in the on not auto as this may help the room stay cooler. Please keep me posted.
A/C, Contractor.
PS, if the remote does not say on, and just says auto and cool, set it to auto.

I have a Denon 2309 and i hooked up a pre amp to use for my multi room. the issue i'm having i hear the radio station for my multi room, but when i put on my ipod. my multi room still plays the radio...

The iPod signal has to go to the pre-amp as well as the living room amplifier.. You'll have to move the iPod connection so it replaces the radio signal to the pre-amp as it does with the living room amplifier.

Denon avr 3805 2 zone configuration, I added optical sound from TIVO and now zone 2 is not working. I did the test of the speakers and they all work. I have configured the main for 5 channel stereo.

Zone 2 needs an analog input to work, if you pulled the analog from tivo, put it back on. Digital will not pass on zone 2. If your analog is still connected as well, go into your receivers settings for audio and select "auto" not "digital" Check the settings on tivo as well. make sure it's audio output is set to "auto" if available. If it's not, it's default is "auto" and will output simeltaneously on all outputs. Hope this helps. If you need more help, post a comment and I will help some more.
