Parts for mitsubishi WD52725 DLP TV

This has been a very common issue with this model series. Unfortunately there is no quick cheap fix. The correct way of repairing it involves removing the Chassis Cluster and sending it back to Mitsubishi for refurbishing. The cause of the problem is many capacitors are failing or have failed across 4 or 5 boards. The way the chassis is laid out it is most difficult even for the professionals
to totally tear it down and rebuild it. Average cost of refurbishing is around 600.00 to 800.00.
Because Mitsubishi is not going to support this model series much longer, I would look to replace instead of repairing it.

If this is a rear projection set you needs the convergence IC replaced,
the model # wd52725 indicates it may be a DLP (probably not correct). If its a DLP the problem is within the power supply or video/formatter boards. The convergence ICs should cost between $250 and $400 to have a servicer install them depending on their labor rates.
If this is a DLP model the power supply repair (just capacitors) would cost the same, but if the boards are bad it would be over $500 to have repaired.
Is it worth the repair? Most servicers charge an estimate fee $60-$120
perhaps for can ask them for their labor rates for the IC install instead of having them drive out and tell in person what they could say over the phone.
Compare the repair prices with the replacement price and decide based on, your budget, how old the set is, what you paid for it originally.
You can buy a new 52" proj set for around $1000-1200 DLP or LCD
you will get a 1 year warranty on a new set, but only a 90 warranty on the ICs. If you buy a new set try to buy the 3 or 5 year extended warranty to protect your investment.

You need the V26 power board repair kit. You can get it at the following link and it comes with step by step instructions with pictures. Heres a link to the proper kit.

try pressing menu 2470 and enter. this will reinitalize the set. if that doesn't work the there is a problem with the chassis. check out www.tv-techs.com

I have a 52inch mitsubishi dlp model ws-52725,I turn on the tv and the green light is plinking I have this befor and had to replace the module at a coat of 600.00 that was 2 years ago .I have done all the necessary steps,light still plinking.what do I have to do now ?My last mitsubishi I had for 15 years with no problem.Its mitsubishi going down hill. code 12 means no error detected. However when your lamp wont light and you have replaced the lamp it is usually traced to the cpacitors on the PWB PCB that need replacement. You can get a repair kit for that model at the following link. Its called the V26 PWB PCB repair kit. which contains all the capacitors and a CD with the capacitor board locations and disassembly instructions and board Identification and full Service manual for that model DLP. The new bulb that went bad I purchased for less than $130.00 from http://www.Discount-Merchant.com/ . When I called them they immediatly sent me a new bulb free. Their number is 1-619-710-2637. A very good coumpany to do business with. They are also considering selling ballast for dlp TV's for around $200.00. The TV repair place that I have been going to told me that maybe the ballast made the bulb go out and it would cost between $600.00 and 800.00 to have them fix it.
