We keep getting a memory is low message. How can

stop updating or buy a phone with higher memory storage

Delete some unnecessary files in your phone memory like images and videos. Go to your phone gallery and delete some of those. And if you want to use the memory card as phone message storage then go to Messaging - Option - Settings - Other and then Memory in Use, select your memory card.


But if your phone is infected with a virus then you need to format your phone. One sign of infection is your phone keep sending a message randomly from your contacts without your consent.


Use these code and enter it to format your phone:
*#7370# and then the default code is 12345


Take note: Make sure you back-up your contacts or any other important inside your phone.

If your mobile has memory card delete unwanted files or delete files in gallery, unwanted messages, applications in your phone memory and free its space. my suggestion for you, don't always store to the end of you memory. then mobile will function slow and gets hanged.

Try clearing the browser cache. A lot of data can be stored there. Also in music and pictures. Hope this helps!

If the error is '20.00 Insufficient Memory'
No action required. It is simply out of memory because the file you printed was too big.
If you keep getting the message, simpify the print job and/or add more memory to the device.

You could also..
Change the setting in the <Configuration Menu>, <Clearable Warnings>, from 'On', to "Job'.
This will get rid of the message a bit quicker.

There are 2 different sets of memory - the built-in "Storage memory" & the microSD "Storage Card".
You can see how full they are:
1: Run "Task Manager".
2: Choose "Menu", choose "System Info".

I'm guessing that your Internet Explorer cache is large, filling up the "Storage memory".
To clear it:
1: Run Internet Explorer.
2: Choose "Menu", choose "Tools", choose "Options", choose "Memory"
3: Select "Temporary Files" & "Clear". This will run a minute or so.

I've had the same problem. Typically the Temp Internet Files are the culprit. Which hotrodvixen mentions, but not the others. Are you using the internet a lot or downloading files from the internet on a regular basis that may be an ongoing problem? What happens if when you get the low memory message you just clear the temp internet files, does that fix the problem (temporarily)?

For any others who need to know how to clear temp internet files:
Open Internet Explorer > Menu > Tools > Options > Memory > Delete Files

This issue is happening because the device memory is low. When the device's memory is low, the BlackBerry's Low Memory Manager kicks in and starts removing call logs and/or messages to clear space.
