I have a ps2, i put in games, cds and it never plays

had the same problem, although with mine some worked and others didnt. I found a lense cleaner that you can get cheap anywere that you can put into any cd player worked as a tempory mesure but soon after same problem, my solution was trade it in and get a new one disconted.

You could also try taking the lid of and cleaning the lense with a earbud and nail polish remover, that worked too.

there are various reasons
1. it can lens problem:--- change the lens
2. it can be your browser ic problem or even loading Ic

try playing original audio cds if it play u can conform it is lens problem

You need to clean your lens or the cds are too scratched to play.

Its almost always the laser. I would bet on the laser.

I have the same problem try wiping the disk with cleaner if you dont have cleaner just use water

Try using a lens cleaner and clean the lens. Buy a cd from shops that says lens cleaner.

both of you needs to clean your lens. how? just buy cd lens cleaner there is a liquid type by dropping 3drops to the brush of your cd cleaner then play this. ther is also the dry type you just play this and wait a few minutes until a notice appears that cleaning procedure is already completed

since it is slim type ps2 get a cotton buds and wipe the lens gently and smoothly.

First of all the new laser lens will not allow your Slim to read NTSC UC games if you have a PAL european Console.

There is no reason the New laser should have not read the disc unless it Came to you damaged. It sounds like you know how to replace a laser.
