Hi my name is alan and is have been like 10 months that i bought a 42 inche plasma tv and i have problems with it because now is blinking a lot is a maxent tv or screen so i need to know if can be fix or i have to buy a new one
Hi alan, well any tv can be fixed but at what price, your fault sounds like a capacitor proberbly on the inverter board needs replacing,i have come across this problem quite a few times and it will take me 10-15 mins to diagnose and repair this type of problem and it is very inexpensive for the part.
Is the fault worse when the tv is first switched on from cold or does it get worse if the tv has been on for a while???
Hope this helps.

10 blinks Sub 5v SOS / Main 3v SOS DG Board
DTV 9v SOS / Tuner Power SOS. These are the faulty boards and sections to be checked. Just visit the site named 'Electro-help'. Blinking codes and repair work with Panasonic plasma TVs are described in detail. Check this link, and select the site. Pull up older posts there.
I unpluged mine and the light was still blinking when it was unpluged. I thought that was weird. So I pluged it back in and just heald the power button in untill the light went out. It went out within ten seconds. I pushed the power button again and the tv went on. WOOHOO!!! Just needed reset, I guess.
I also have the same problem I phoned Samsung today to explain the tv was only 14 months old, they didn't wanna no because it was out of warrenty by 2 months. I am getting a black solid line down the left hand side of the screen. I ended up phoning Dixons were we bought it from, they have told me to get an independent engineers report done & send the report to them within 14 days. Dixon told me it was a known problem with Samsungs. They said they will fix it free of charge if they can if not they will send vouchers to the same value of the television. So beware stay clear of Samsungs.
