I was printing a document of 6 pages and 5th page only came out 3/4 of way and stopped. I pulled it out rest of wayshut the printer off, waited 40 seconds and started it again. I also opened up the back but cannot see anything. I shut it off again and then started it again nothing. Any suggestions appreciated.

Did you remove the imaging unit?

There are three places for paper to get stuck, in the rear panel, behind the imaging unit, and in the paper tray.

The imaging unit is the large piece that the toner cartridges mount in. To check behind the imaging unit, open the front panel and pull on the green handle near the bottom. The entire printer will seem like its coming out. Thats fine. put it aside and look for jammed paper.

Brother 4800 printer how to print on both sides

If your printer does not have a duplex unit then the printercannot print double sided pages automatically.
You can print double sided pages but you have to do it one page at a time.
First print Page 1 then place the page back into the paper tray, but turn thepage upside down and the print Page 2.
Then print page 3 on one side then page 4 on the other side and repeat for therest of the document.
I suggest you try a test page first, to get the printing the right way up onboth sides of the page so it reads correctly.

Pages are printing, but part of the page has really light, some unreadable printing while rest of page is fine. What do I need to do/change?

c. Press Stop/Exit.
2. Print a document from your computer or print a demo page by pressingthe FAX and COPY keys at the same time.

Printer prints first page with strange nonsensical characters

I would move the printer to another computer. See if the problem follows. I have seen the issue a few times with issues in normal.dot but also in other office applications.

Problem I'm fighting with on my 1720 is its printing extra pages between pages. basically print a 5 page document and get an 8/9 page final with the extra blank pages. Think its a user error but could be machine related. going to try it on another PC and see what happens.

Pause/printer rest between pages

Hi nurse_boop (Lainey), You can try changing some of the printer settings. Assuming you're using Windows, go to Start, Printers and Faxes, and right click on your printer, choose Properties: 1. Make sure that you disable printer pooling; 2. Check/tick, print directly to the printer; 3. Check/tick, Printer is Always Available. Please keep in mind that large file sizes, images and deep colors adds to the slowdown and pauses of printers. Hardware wise, large documents requires more memory both on the printer server PC and the printer itself. Hope this be of some help to you. Post back how things are or should you need further information. Good luck and kind regards.
