I've got the same problem with a Sony Mavica FD83 floppy disc camera. The screen says DISK ERROR C:13:01

Any idea of what may be wrong ? I think this is a common problem with these cameras....but it's priobably an easy fix. Can you help me ?

YES................It's a very simple solution. Insert a disk into it..and on the menu screen, go to camera setttings. Click to the FORMAT mode...and hit the large enter button. This will begin the Formatting process as the screen wil tell you that it's FORMATTING. You'll also hear clicking sounds as this formatting is taking place. Once it stops....your DISK ERROR should dissapear. I just had the same problem with my FD-83, and it's now working fine again. Real simple fix Now....say "thank You" !!

Sony Mavica MVC CD500

It comes that Disk not being recognized. I had the same camera before. You need to use good quality CDRs or CD-RWs. Usually Sony Mavica disks best with that camera. Maybe you cannot find Mavica in market then go for Sony, Philips, Imation miniCDR/W. also keep the lens of the internal CD writer clean. If you need further assistance please post your question

Installing memory stick into a Sony Mavica FD-83...

There is absolutely NO way to use a Memory Stick with the FD83 camera. The floppy adapter will never work with a FD83. The camera OS does not have the required driver.
