The fuse is on the power supplu board, but dont think thats your problem. Is the setompletely dead when you try to power it up? Does the LED light blink? If so how many times does it blin before it pauses for a second.

The red light mean your standby voltage i ok.I would check Q309 and Q324 for a short between C & E collector and emitter that can stop horizontal deflection which will shut the set down. Also check Diode D2224 for being shorted this will trip the ray protection circuit and also shut the set down,. Let me know if you need me to clarify anything.

You would need a service manual then with some support explaining how to test various parts you would probably be able to handle it, but you wold need a manual just to have an idea on where to locate the components and se what voltages are required at the test points. If you want to give it a try let me know I can post a link where you can purchase the service manual and they will email it to you. Hope this helps.

Hi Isnovero,
The main reasons of your problem is the bulb which is already came to its end. The unit will automatically shuts off when it sense a bulb failure. But before you replace the bulb I would advice you to work first on its power supply. Look for open fuse/fusible resistor and spot some bad solder joints. This will do the same symptoms like what it showing now. If you don't have necessary tools and test instruments, and can't do the job yourself, I would advice you to look for a professional to troubleshoot the problem. Don't attempt to work in the power supply if you don't know the safety precaution of handling it, there some stored electricity enough to hurt you with a little mistake only.

Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day! Thanks for using Fixya.

I have an Oster wine cellar. the fan stopped working could it be a fuse and how do I replace it?

Do not bother trying to contact the company which made the unit they are being indigted on fraud. The good thing is that there is a simple solution to your problems. Replace the small fuse under the electric shrink wrap. This fuse is located near the red and green led lights on the electronic panel in the back of the unit. Replace with a 6.3 or 7 amp 250 volt fuse 3 x20mm , which can be found at Radio Shack. You will need to know how to solder in order to replace. All total cost to replace the fuse is about $3.00 and a half an hours time. The unit works great now, I paid another $3.00 to put in an inline fuse holder for the future when this fuse blows, if it does.

Sony proj tv,sound, green pict few seconds then shuts down

could be three different things.

1. could be the crt itself as a tube with dfective phosphure wil do this

2. could be the vertical ic on the crt board

3. could be the focus pac.  located in front of tv with 6 adjustment knobs on it.
