Question about Oasis Industrial Strength Dehumidifier
Very old Oasis D2000 stays running . on rare occasion it shuts off, it does so with CLUNK sound
An old D/H like that might be low on refrigerant so it takes much longer for the humidistat to be satisfied so it shuts off. The loud clunking sound when it shuts off might also indicate low charge. A refrigeration serviceman can add refrigerant but if it's an old model, the refrigerant used at the time might be really expensive and therefore might be cost effective to buy another one. Can't buy the old Oasis models made in Ohio anymore however. Offshore has won out with low price.

Sounds to me like the hemostat is sticking or our of calibration, unfortunately it would have to be replaced to fix this problem

Tips for a great answer:
Hi lynn crisp, thanks for your post!
From my understanding you are having a challenging time with your Frigidaire dehumidifier shutting too quickly. It sounds like a possible problem with your sensor or control panel. Are you currently under warranty? I would contact your manufacturer for assistance to a proper resolution. -Matt
