Manually cleaning the printhead isnt difficult and could solve your problem. You need distilled or de-ionized water, tap water might work but i dont recomend it. You need a lint free cloth, dont use paper towels or anything that will leave material behind that will clogg the nozzls (a clean soft tshit should work tex Wipe lint free cloths work the best) . Heating the water will help. Remove the printhead look at the nozzles on the buttom. you should see 6 lines in a yellow area. you want to wipe with these lines not accross them. do not scrub or use circular motion. Wet the cloth area your going to wipe with well. put some pressure but dont break it and wipe a few times slowly. you can also soak the nozzles in warm or hot distilled water just only in very shallow water just enough to touch the nozzles do not submerge the whole printhead. you can also google manually cleaning inkjet printheads just use your best judgement some things people do to clean a printhead might damage them. If after manual cleaning and using the built in cleaning the printsblue and yellow will not print - 1.gif still dont come out right call kodak and request a new printhead. I hope this helps! Don't Let this road bump turn you away from these printers they print nice prints and have low cost ink. Kodak and or I am not responsible for any data loss or any damage to any equipment that occurs as a direct or indirect result of following the procedures described above.

Cannon Pixma MG5520 printer

Remove all cartridges, clean the ink from where the cartridges make contact with cloth,(paper towels can leave trash in there) be sure all is clean then replace the cartridges and print something. Those streaks shouldn't be there any longer.

HP ink jet 1200..prints only test page after replacing the yellow cartridge.test page only shows black and blue inks are good.need help.

Important thing: HP inkjet printers having self align technology & its aligns automatically after replacing the ink cartridge/s.In the process of align it will prints align page &it will read it on the model.
Suppose if you replaced yellow cartridge, as usually it will print align page, but if one or more cartridges not printing properly align will not completes. Results every time it will prints the align page when its switching on. Align will completes only when all cartridges/print heads are in healthy condition.. Check the alignpage find out which colors are not printing properly, replace it to over come from this issue. Now you decide what to do?..

Only prints in green and blue

You are more than likely out of magenta (red) ink. That printer uses a tri-color cartridge, and it has cyan (blue) magenta (red) and yellow ink. Green is blue + yellow-therefore you do have those two colors; since it will not print anything red or black you will need to replace both cartridges.

I changed all Print cartridges-Black, Yellow,Cyan,Blue

On this machine you have to install inks with power on and use the ink button and choose replace ink. If you just plug them in it won't register and reset the counts. You may need to run clean cycles at least twice to get proper colors.

Print colour is off

Sounds like you have cyan and magenta ink but no yellow. (You need yellow to get yellows, greens, reds and orange shades.) First try running the printer utility to clean your ink jets, then run a test print. If this does not work then simply replace the yellow ink cartridge.
