Hello my friend has a 1995 deville that wont heat. He thought the blower was bad so we put a different on it and wired it to run with the key on. It runs but will not blow air into the car. None of the vent have any air coming out of them. Also the a/c is running all the time. What can we do to get the defrost to work on these cold mn nights

The alternator does not have anything to do with the blower fan for heat. You may have unhooked a wire by mistake, or you have a blown fuse. God-Bless!

I had a 2003 caddy dts same issue the blower motor has probably gone bad u can order them online. What u can also try is kicking under the passenger side glove box area that's where the blower is located sometimes they get stuck. Try kicking or tapping under there and see if it pops on. I did this with my car

If the blower motor isnt working hook a wire up with a fuse and a switch to the blower motor.Or find a cheap local Mechanic

LX? DX? EX? Hatchback? sedan? wagon?coupe? engine size? did you check the fuse? Fuse #19, 30 amps in the auxilary fuse box (your owners manual may show the location ,it may be near the blower ?). The Blue/White wire at the heater blower motor should be HOT (12v) with key on. If you ground the Blue/Black wire the motor should run full speed.

Hello. Will do my best to help, You have this listed as a 1998 DeVille, in the verbage you say its a 1995. okay if the blower motor continues to run when you turn the key off then regardless of the year model the electronics in the blower motor has failed and it will have to be replaced. If its running with the key off you can disconnect it under the hood. It is located just off center to the driver side. It has a 3 wire connector this will keep the battery from going dead. Follow the wires from the blower motor back to the blower motor resistor, normally only a few inches away and held in by a 7 mm screw. Replace it

tap on it with a hammer when it should be working, if it starts working.... the blower is bad, common problem and a not so fun job. I would recommend a repair shop .

check the fuse first,,,if good ,disconnect the blower motor connector and check for power and ground there on connector,if have both power and ground you most likely got a bad blower motor,,if you dont got power and ground you might have a bad wire or bad hvac control head

put a small amount of wd 40 or graphite grease on key put it in out a few times then try turning it again hope this helps glenn..........
