No software I took some photos with a vivicam 3105 camera.I cannot download the photos on my computer because it does not have the software.How can i download it from the internet because i need it or my photos will remain on the camera. i have lost the disc for my camera and cant upload my pics onto my pc

You can use any kind of picture downloading software to import photos from a camera.
Personally, I like Google PICASA the most. http://picasa.google.com/
But there are lots of other good free choices.

When you connect the camera, what happens? Does an icon appear on your desktop, does windows open a dialogue box and offer to download the pics, does a "removable drive" appear in "my computer"? Any of these methods should allow you to download to a folder you create on your desktop.

Using a friend's computer, copy the software to a thumb drive and then plug the thumb drive into your netbook to download.

Boot up the computer with camera not connected.
Connect USB cable to camera and computer if running WinXP, and turn on camera. The rest should be easy, the only setback is if you did not install the photo editing software that usually comes with the camera. If not, you might be able to use Windows software, but a few free photo editing software packages are online. Use Google to find them, the best being Google's Picasa. Good Luck!

i want to download the software

Well, this is a new one for me. Do you still have the same photo software? Open up whatever you do have and click on help and unloading camera or something similar. There must be a way.

If you don't have any photo software, I would go to www.tucows and search for freeware photo software -that is compatible with vista and download something there to use.

Alternatively You could simply open up my computer click on the camera drive and open it to see the photos then selct all>copy then go somewhere and create a new folder to paste them into. Then go back anddelte them off your camera. YOu'll still need a photo proggy. I'll bet you have one though. Have a look at everything on your hard and see what you have.
