Can you explain in more detail? I am not understanding what you mean by "the cord". We are talking about the Plantronics CS70 Wireless Office Headset System correct?
If we are talking about the same system, was it new when you got/bought it? If it was new try contacting Plantronics
(yes, I do know it's August now but you can still try) to get it
exchanged/repaired under warranty. That being said, I am not sure how
long the warranty is or if you even have a receipt. If you don't have
a receipt but know that it was purchased at Best Buy, Circuit City or
another electronics store that keeps the receipts then get all the
information together (date of purchase, purchasers name & phone
number, etc) and visit the store to see if they can give you a copy of
the receipt to forward to Plantronics.
I
used to work at a Best Buy (Store 817 in Paducah, KY) on the Geek
Squad. I have helped customers find their receipt and also have seen
the Customer Service Reps in the store find the receipt if I can't.
They have access to more information on you/your purchase than you
could ever imagine and it will be extremely helpful in this quest.
