Question about Dell 1600n All-In-One Laser Printer
our fax will no longer send and our phone line that was plugged into the 1600n is dead. We don't believe it is the phone cord as it has neither been moved nor touched. Any suggestions?
This is a question that your IT manager or phone technician should be addressing/troubleshooting. If phone line is not working, chances are that the problem therein resides and not with your printer. If you plug in a regular, non-cordless phone, test for dial tone. If none is present, suspect line damage somewhere. Try plugging in the printer to a different data/phone line if available.
