The main problem might be a big problem with the disk tray. There might be an faulty wire that has lost connection and if your disk wont event turn on, there might be a problem with the power supply that supplies the cd tray. If the disk opens and closes but doesnt read and wont say tray is in and keeps saying open tray, there might be a small fracture on some of the wires or there is something wrong with the motherboard of the xbox 360. The best way is to buy the warrenty now and send it to the xbox 360.
take out the cd. close the tray with no disk in it. let it read till it says open tray
open and close it like 3 times with tha method mentioned above with out the disk. then put the disk back in and it will probly work.
sometimes the system turns dumb and u haft to remind it to reconize when there is actally no disk.
The way to fix this is to open the disk tray and blow inside for about thirty seconds getting the dust out of the way of the laser also blow across the disc tray and the surface of the disk. Then keep closing and opening the tray and it will start to read hopefully. if this does not work go out and buy a disc cleaner. it looks like a disc with sponges on it and when you insert it into the console it cleans the inside for you.

close to the eject button you will find a small pin hole straighten out a paper clip and push it strongly into the hole and the drivr will pop open.. even if just slightly,, just pull out the draw and remove the disc.. close draw firmly and turn on pc..
Ahhhhhh This is a fun one! Ok here is the first thing you should do. Put a disk in the tray and keep in mind the position it is facing. Close the tray and wait for your system to say open tray now open the tray and examine the disc. Let me know if it is in the same position and we'll go from there!
Your system can possibly be dusty inside or the disk may be scratched real bad. Buy a keyboard airbrush can and spray the air inside to see if you can clean it.
