I had a notebook ACER Aspire 4730Z. I usually familiar using cursor with touchpad. But, IT DOESN'T WORK NOW! Can you solve this problem? Regards, Agus JR.

I'm not familiar with your laptop but I googled it and there are many possible solutions. If you have access to another PC, look at this link and try out the various suggestions:

i have seen this problem in other laptops and the mousepad had to be replaced.

Try an external mouse and see if that works. You may need to reinstall the synaptics driver that controls the touchpad. I use an external mouse 100% of the time now.

thare is a cable connector in ur lepto is missplaced or it may loos open the leptop cover ang plugit corectly

Hi there, Press FN+F7 key and use your mouse pad. Right now its on disable mode. Thanks.

Go to START, CONTROL PANEL, click MOUSE.

Now click POINTER OPTIONS tab and in here, you can adjust the speed and precision of the mouse pointer.

right click my computer

Hardware Tab

Load up Device Manager

Find the sound device

Right Click

Uninstall Driver

Restart Computer

Go Here and get the driver http://gd.panam.acer.com/home/
(Notebook , Aspire , Aspire 4730Z , Select Windows Xp From Drop Down Menu and then Drivers will show

Reinstall Driver

Restart Computer

Touch pad mouse.
This unit has a "seamless touchpad with four-way integrated scroll button".
Yours is probably faulty, causing the cursor to be random.
Try disabling it and connecting a USB mouse.

Touch Freeze will disable the touchpad when you start typing. I have not used it, but give it a try.

Also, your touchpad could be wearing out or a driver reinstall could be in order. My wifes Toshiba had a bad touchpad and the cursor would jump all over the place. I disabled it and she now uses an external mouse. No problems anymore.
