GE model GSS22JEMDWW. Replaced the compressor six

GE model GSS22JEMDWW. Replaced the compressor six months ago. Original owner replaced a circuit board before me. Now will not keep food cold. If I press on the fresh food rheostat it acts like the compressor is trying to kick on. Is the circuit board/twin rheostats bad??

We installed a GE JVM1750 and rotated the fan to recirculate the air. Air blows out the vent in the front, but does not pull air in from the bottom.... any ideas?

I would first suggest that you consult the owner's manual and installation guide.

If for some reason you don't have yours, you can download GE owner's manuals and installation instructions here.

You may have a clogged charcoal filter so that should be checked. They need to be replaced about every six months or so.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts and filters by entering your full model number here.

GE TBX22ZA refrig. automatic ice maker stopped making ice. I replaced the first ice maker when it stopped working with one I found at a thrift store that was still in it's original box, never used. The...

sounds like the water inlet valve/solenoid may be bad. I've had some to work awhile then quit. It could be trash inside of the inlet valve. If it has a water filter on the frig try changing it also. But try the solenoid first by turning your freezer section thermostat to its highest reading to for 24hrs.to see if the solenoid is going to work.

Turbo cool will not turn off in GE side-by-side refrigerator. Replaced circuit board...still stays on

There are three temp sensors in my GE side-by-side model GSS20IEMDWW (two in the freezer and one in the fresh food side). Replacing the temp sensor in the fresh food side was enough to allow the compressor to finally turn off.

For me, the problem manifested with an iced-over evaporator coil inside the freezer compartment. Since the compressor never cycled off (presumably because the temp sensor was providing faulty data about the temp inside the fresh food side, thus causing it to continually attempt to cool), the coils were constantly chilled. Eventually the ice on the coils would block the air flow and the freezer side could no longer freeze

I purchased a pair of inexpensive thermometers from a kitchen store and put one in the freeze and one in the fresh food side so I could occasionally look at the temps to see if it made sense for the compressor to be running - ie, was it really a warm-enough temp for cooling to be required, or was the computer reading faulty sensor data.

Six months later I also needed to replace both temp sensors in the freezer compartment. My refrigerator is about seven years old. I would recommend replacing all of the temp sensors just to rule that out.

Your model may be different, but this will give you an idea of part numbers and relative locations of the parts.

GE MODEL GSH25JSRF-SS PROBLEM HELP PLEASE

I had the same problem back in March. First the water and ice dispensers stopped working, then the clicking started and the compressor wouldn't turn on. I replaced the circuit board and everything started working again, until today. This is a very common problem with the circuit board on these refrigerators. Do a search for "GE circuit board" and you'll see what I mean. GE issued a service bulletin to its technicians that this service should be provided free of charge, and anyone who already paid to have the circuit board replaced will be reimbursed. I wish I would've known about it 6 months ago. I will be calling GE Consumer Affairs on Monday to get this resolved.

GE side By Side GSS22JEMDWW

Maybe but there is also a thermister in the defrost system that might be bad. The thermister is a small, white, barrell shape and is as big around as a pencil, It has 2 wires going in it and is attached to the top of the coils in the freezer.
