Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

The problem, although not a great one is on my Grandads Bush 2876ntx TV. The blue channel indicator is always on(top LHS) and the only way I can find to clear it is to switch to teletext on the remote then back to tv by pressing the button again. It then remains off until say the volume is adjusted. The vol display appears then when it goes off after a few seconds, the channel indicator comes back and stays on as before. As I said it's not a massive problem, but as he watches sport a lot, the scores/points are often behind the channel indicator. Hope you can help. Gareth UK

Thanks for advice. Sorry I took so long to respond. Was a bit sceptical that it would be such an easy fix, but eventually tracked down his instruction manual which showed me how to get into setup overview. Changed the OSD from on to off. It now shows up briefly when a channel is changed and goes off. Thanks again. Gareth

Sorry man! Haven't used this site before. Didn't even realise I'd given you a poor rating until you replied. I've changed them I think to "Fixya"?? My comments and rating now don't contradict each other.

This is a setting in the menu set-up somewhere or simply press the display button on the remote control unit.

Thanks for the poor rating man! Thanks for trying? If I had not told you what to do, you would still be looking at the numbers.

We have a bush set top box with no instruction book. one channell Win (9)is indicating ''no reception'' We were told by a local TV repairer to re tune our tv. How?

You should not have to re-tune your tv as the set top box will be plugged in via a scart lead so its the set top box that needs to be retuned.
Go to the menu of the set box and select new installation under features or set up.
Hope this helps

Tune in channels

Switch TV on
Press “MENU” on remote until 3 blue arrows appear
Press “VOLUME” keys to tune up or down (shown on blue bar)
When required programme is tuned, input required Channel number (appears on 2 green lines at top) e.g. 02 or 14
Carry on tuning and allocating channel numbers
Select “MENU” to clear or wait until it clears by itself
Channels should now be tuned to allocated numbers

How do i retune my bush 1433

You may lose some channels when you retune the TV as the channels have been rearranged. To locate them look at the EPG although you may still find that some channels are no longer available on FREEVIEW. See the following link for additional information

If the above process does not work then check the link above for additional information and also visit the accompanying site links below to find more information for your model of TV / FREEVIEW box.
