Most likely your water control valve for the ice maker side is not shutting completely. sometimes it's slow enough to freeze the fill tube shut and sometimes the valve is worn out and not seating. Let me see if I can find some parts I did not thaink Samsung Had a RB2 I was thinging. I'll check but you double check too. be back soon RS2155

I checked and yes that model was a model alone so I'm thinking older than most. There are adaptor kits if the refrigerator is a good one and that is what you need but parts for the ice maker are only pictures now. Let me dig around in the Maytag Library *(Samsung is part of Maytag) and see what I find. Sea Breeze

That model is going to need some special attention if that is the model number. It does not show a water control valve and really I would like some photos. Click on photo to make larger and the click the model number above it and they have a few parts. I will place you a view here=> RB2155BB Ice Maker we may find someone to put on there or fabricate parts, You can find me here at Fixya or=> Here or here=> Sea Breeze Appliance Parts and Technical Services if you need answers let me know! Thank You, Sea Breeze

I talked to someone at appliance411.com and he (Dan) said that was an add on ice maker and would need part numbers and possibly need to be rebuilt with other than the original parts. Good Luck, Sea Breeze

Ice maker not dumping ice

It could be the harvest thermostat or the mold heater is bad on the icemaker. It is usually better to just replace the icemaker. Installing a harvest thermostat is a but tricky and the mold tray is 3/4 of the icemaker anyway..

Why does water not shut off after making ice

Is the bin drain line and dump drain line tied together. If so then it is melting ice from the bin. now when ice machine starts up it will dump the old water in sump tray so it will be fresh water during new freeze cycle.

Freezer won't make ice cubes, but does provide cold water.

The water and ice maker are two seperate water control valves built onto the same. Your water control valve for the ice maker may be defective and require that you change the set. Fill ice maker with tap water and allow the water to freeze. If the ice maker dumps the ice into ice bin and then does not refill then this points to the water control valve. If the ice maker does nothing after water freezes then the problem is the ice maker. Send me a model number and I will look up the part numbers for you, Thanks, Sea Breeze

Maytag freezer wont produce ice

You have two sides to the water control valve. One side is for the water coming from fountain and the second side is to refill your ice maker after each cycle of dumping ice into the ice bin. The freezer should be a 5 degrees or below for the ice maker to function properly. If the ice maker is empty then fill with tap water up to top edge of the ice maker and allow to freeze. If after the water freezes and dumps the ice into the ice bin the ice maker does not refill I would recommend replacing part=> 67006009 Dual Water Control Valve
or here=> 67006009 Dual Water Control Valve
If the ice maker has old ice inside and does not want to dump itself it will be considered defective and the ice maker core moduel will need be replaced=> W10190972 Ice Maker Assembly

I have a kenmore 106.53593200 fridge the ice maker not making ice but i can feel its running

As long as your freezer will freeze water, your ice maker will make ice. All the ice maker does is supply the water, then dump the ice after it freezes.

So, that narrows it down to: 1) Either the ice cubicles are not filling with water, or 2) The ice is not dumping into the bin after it freezes.

To check for #1, you should be able to look into the ice cubicles to see if they're filled with water (or ice). If they are, go to #2. If not, you've probably got a defective water valve.

If the cubicles are full of ice or water, but don't dump out, the most likely culprit is the cubicle heater, which slightly heats the walls of the cubicles so that the ice can be more easily ejected into the bin. Unless you're VERY mechanically inclined, this is a job best left for an appliance repairman.

Ice Maker Overflowing

i would recommend changing the water valves as they may be sticking or leaking now you can take the icemaker loose get a small baby bottle short the terminals to cycle water fill catch it with the bottle and see how much water it dumps should be about 4 ounces if the valve leaks will over fill the ice maker over a period of time say the valve is leaking a few drops at a time and the bail arm has the icemaker shut off because its touching ice in the bin but the water just keeps dripping down the fill tube till it runs over did you replace the whole icemaker or just the motor module
