Convergence IC will be mounted on a big Aluinuim Heat Sink They are Big Black ICs and will have Parts # on Them example STK392-570 There is 2 of them together.

it sounds to me like your tube has gone , go to your local tv repair shop and order a new tube its quite cheap to do so and they should be able to get it you quite fast.

you need new convergence ICs. If you can respond to this same post and verify the model number of your mitsubishi, I wll post the correct ICs that your model needs.

Lenticular is the inner screen and protective screen is the outer screen

sounds like a loose video cable. Check your connections

HEY DOG-UNLESS YOU ARE GOOD W/VOLTMETERS THIS TYPE FAILURE ON THIS MODEL TV CAN BE VERY DIFFICULT.THE BEST ADVICE I CAN GIVE IS CALL A TV TECH EXPERIENCED W/MITSUBUSHI TVS AND GET AN ESTIMATE.

That model is famous for the CRts leaking onto the chassis which causes all kinds of problems and can cause the main circuit board to short as well as destroy the solder. Try looking at the board for evidence of a pastey substance that would indicate CRT coolant leakage. Let me know what you find.

You need to change the convergence IC's my friend. If you know how to solder and work on printed circuit boards, this is an easy repair, BUT if you have no experience, play it safe and let a pro do this repair for you. Good Luck

First thing to check my friend is bad connections on the green CRT board, or cannections on the green crt and the socket. If there are no bad connections on the board, but to tell you the truth there most likely is, as I have found this problem many many times in the past, you could take off the green crt board and swap it with one of the other board from the other two crts and the picturew will not be right, but this will tell you if the problem is on the green board or the green driver circuit. if the green continues to go out on this setup, then I would tend to believe that the green CRT is intermittant.
