Double check that game is compatible with your system, if it came with it the you may have a faulty machine. Also, double check your connections for your controllers and the nunchuk if connected. Jay

I'm thinking that this may be a coincidence.
Do you know if the older Wii was even reading games before you put NBA2K13 into it???
Usually when a Wii isn't reading games, the DVD drive or the laser inside of it has failed. The eventually wear out on all of the gaming consoles (I don't think lasers were means to be worked so hard). You can find a replacement Wii drive at the following page:

Some games not loading, resets system

This should only be happening with burnt games. Or your disc drive will need to be replaced, or your 2nd option is you can mod your wii system at www.wiihdmods.com and get 100 wii games playable from a hard drive for 150.00

We had the same issue this morning. you have to upgrade the Wii system menu. Look in the front page of the Super Mario Bros instruction bulletin and it tells you to do this. You have to be connected to the internet through your Wii though to do this, but our is now working. The download takes a few minutes but all is good. Hope this helps.

Just select the System Update option in Wii System Settings - just make sure your Wii is connected to the internet.

The disk cant be read

try the disk on a different wii and load the saved file on memory card and try it from there.if the game works fine with another account then the account that your trying to load is corrupted.if the game does read on a different system then it is your wii.(doubt it but is possible)if the game doesn't work with a new account then it is the cd.

Wont load discs

If Wii gives Disc Read Error, first step you need to check is to try another disc or clean the exisitng disc. This will confirm that problem is with either Wii or Disc. If the console itself is giving disc read error then it needs to be repaired. You may check out DIY Wii Fix Guide, that will show step by step information to fix the problem yourself. It also gives information on fixing many Wii Related Problems, so its a kind of Wii Problems Reference Fix Guide....

Wii game disc's not loading

The lens in your wii disk drive might be dirty or scratched. Try putting in a regular head cleaning cd. The problem is that the wii will not read it but it might spin it round enough while trying to read it to clean the lens. You could also do it manually by taking your wii apart but i wouldn't recommend it personally due to the large quantity of things that break easily and the amount of screws to be taken out that are easy to lose.

Hope this helps,

Mowcius
