I cannot set my GE timer--15119----I have no instructions and have tried many times---I can't believe how difficult this timer is to set----

Here's what I found.
Pull up all of the little pins around the dial.
Push down all pins for the time that you want the light to stay on.
Leave pins up for all time that you want the light to stay off.
Rotate the dial to the current time of day.
Plug timer into wall.
Plug light into timer.
Ensure light is ON.

Setting the GE timer 15119

the GE timer 15119 is a push pin design. The easiest way to start is to ensure all pins are up, then push down the pins that represent the time period you want the appliance ON. For example, if you want a lamp on from 7pm to 10pm, push down the pins between the 7 and 10 on the black portion of the dial. then rotate the dial clockwise until the arrow points to the current time of day. Turn switch to the "timer on" position. Plug the timer into the wall outlet, then plug the lamp or appliance cord into the timer and you're done.
Hope this helps.

I have ge model 15119 24 her timer and need help on how to set

GE 15119 timer is a 24-hour plug-in dial-type timer.
Dial rotates as time passes.
Plastic segments located around outer edge of dial control on-off operations.
Each segment represents 30 minutes of 24-hour day.

Timer comes with segments down.
Each segment can be lifted up using small screwdriver under edge of segment.

Segments down, timer is ON.
Segments up, timer is OFF.
So if you want timer to turn on at 7pm and turn off at 11pm, then lift all segments around dial except segments between 7 and 11.

Dial is divided into two parts > day and night.
Nighttime hours are shown by numbers with dark background >> notice small crescent moon where 12 midnight is located.
Daylight hours are shown by numbers with light background, and sun symbol shows at 12 noon

To set current time, so timer knows what time it is right now:
Rotate dial clockwise until current time lines up with arrowhead located on inner dial.

There is override switch located on one side of timer.
Move switch to Timer ON position and timer program will function.
If you want to turn lights ON using override switch, move switch to OUTLET ON.

Last steps:
Turn lamp on.
Plug lamp into timer.
Plug timer into wall.

I have basic timer # 15417. No instructions came with it and I don't know how to set it..

GE 15417 is electro-mechanical plug-in timer

GE 15417 GE15119 GE15131 are combined in one instruction sheet:
http://www.jascoproducts.com/support/manual-downloads/applications/DocumentLibraryManager/upload/15119-Manual-eng.pdf

1) Rotate dial until current time lines up with stationary black triangle located in center.
2) Segments around outer dial divide 24-hour day into 48 half-hours. Lift segments for times you want lights to be OFF. Segments down for times you want lights ON.
3) Slide-switch on side of timer is manual override. To use timer function, set switch to 'Timer ON'
4) Plug light into timer, plug timer into wall.
5) Maximum load is usually around 500Watts >> check markings on timer for exact load capability.

How do I set the ge timer model #15119. husband

I tried to pull the whole dial and doing that I discovered that the border of the dial is composed by pins that you can pull it up each independently, with your nail or with any pointing device. The rest is easy: get sure the switch is set at "timer on", turn the dial to the current time using the black triangle mark and pull the pin up in the time you want your device to disconnect.
