The heater no longer moves from side to side. It's an oscillating heater. How can I fix this?

The heater keeps shutting off, i unplug and wait a few minutes, then try again it works for a few more minutes then shuts off again.

Defective thermostat is shutting it down before it reaches the correct temperature. Essentially the thermostat is acting too sensitive.

Finding parts could be tricky probably worth replacing for the potential repair cost.

Pro 155 kerosi ne heater

Check your fuel and air lines for leaks, typically it's the CAD flame sensor but if you have already replaced it try checking the high heat limit switch. It looks like a thick watch battery just behind the combustion chamber, take it off and hold a lighter under it. If it's working properly you should hear a faint click when it shuts off, no click then it's bad.

Oil filled heater wont stay on

I was having the same problem and did a search to find this link. This morning when I turned it on, I backed the temperature down to 66 when it first came on (defaults to 70) and it appears to be working now (it's been on for over 10 minutes)

Honeywell surround heater shuts off

Had the same problem. The cause: The coils have too much dust on them.
Soultion: Take the bottom of the base off and clean/vacuum. While the base is off, you also have access to the interior of the heater. Remove the 2 screws on the bottom front, then the 2 on the bottom back. The plastic panels will come off and you'll have access to all internal areas. Just clean thoroughly and you should be good to go. You wouldn't realize it, but even with a spotless house, the heater will **** any small particle of dust.

Honeywell HZ7040 shuts off after few minutes

This sounds like a theromostat problem. If you're NOT still under warranty you should at least open the heater and look for the theromostat. A lot of times you can buy replacement at a local electronic or hardware store and they're easy to replace. Good luck!
