I also have OT-020C headset and lost my instruction too. I tried to pair it to my motorola razor v3 phone. When I followed your direction to hold the power botton down of the headset, it never give out a steady blue light. Instead, first the blue light blinks slowly. If I hold the power botton longer, a red light blinks. I went ahead to search for the headset from my razor, the razor only detected one of my cordless phone handset. What did I do wrong?

I cannot connect my new plantronics explorer 330 to my Motorola Razr V3 cell. I followed instructions but when I get to the bluetooth connection and choose handsfree and choose look for devices, the phone scans but says no devices found and then gives me a message to try again later. When I choose from the menu Find Me, my phone gives me a message, discoverable: 3 minutes. I am at a lost to pair. I would appreciate any help! Thanks.

The name of your bluetooth headset is the OmniTech (OT-020C).

This will be slightly difficult to explain without knowing the model of phone... First off, you need to ensure that you are using a bluetooth enabled phone. You will need to enter the settings and tools menu. From within that menu, you need to find either "connections" or "bluetooth" and select. Make sure bluetooth is enabled. There will be an option to add a new device.

On your bluetooth headset, hold down the power button down until the power light stays lit. This may take 5 seconds or more. Now your bluetooth is in pairing mode.

Back to the phone, you want to hit "add new device". On certain models of phone you additionally have to select "search for devices". Your phone will recognize any headsets in pairing mode. When it is finished scanning, allow the phone to add your headset. It will ask you for the device pin code. This pin code will be 0000.

I hope this answered all of your concerns. If you are having trouble with finding the correct settings from within your phone, reply with your phone model and I can give you more detailed information!

I have just purchased a OT-020C the instructions say that you hold down the button on the phone until a blue light flashes this turns on the device, if you hold down the button untill a blue and red light flash it is in paring mode so you can only pair while the Blue and red light flashes.

All pin numbers for pairing bluetooths with cell phones is, 0000 (four zeros)

Mine is connected but the mic wont work in a call. Wen I paired my fone, I wasnt asked for a pin/code. Could that be a reason my mike wont work????????????????

Your problem is you got ripped off..i paid ten dollars for this headset and it never worked and i was too lazy to return it..call omni tech and *****

From your phone's menu, select 'settings'.
Go to 'connectivity', select 'bluetooth'. Under the bluetooth menu, you would see the following sub menu

How to Pair (Connect) a Blue tooth Headset to Your Phone

So you've heard of this new thing called "blue tooth..." But what is it? ...And what does it do for me? It's wireless technology that can link your phone to a headset, computer, another phone, or in extreme cases, your car and home.

We'll just start with the basics and connect a headset to the phone

Things You'll Need:

* A Blue tooth cellular phone
* A Blue tooth Headset

Blue tooth can simply be called "a generic wireless technology that can connect your phone, computer, headset, PDA, laptop, and any other enabled device to each other."

In essences, it was designed to be a universal wireless connector between devices.

Ok... Here we go.
Make sure that both your phone and new headset are charged up.

Since every brand of headset is different, please refer to the instructions for "Pairing", but I will tell you how the most common headsets pair.

By the way, "Pairing" just means "connecting". If you find it more simple, you can substitute the word.

On most headsets, from the Headset being off, hold down the answer/end button down until the indicator light(s) glow a solid color (usually blue). This may take up to 10 seconds. They might flash first, then after a couple more seconds, go solid on.

On your handset, find the blue tooth menu.

On most phones, go to the settings menu, then to "connections" and then "Blue tooth". You are looking for a link to "Add a new device".

On Motorola phones, it is in the "Hands free" link. Select [look for new device] select this option, and hit "OK".

Nokia Phones: look for "search for new audio enhancements". Hit OK.

On Sam sung phones: **Blue tooth menu might be under "tools"** Look for "Add new device". Hit OK.

The phone will search for a couple seconds. If your headset is in paring mode, it will show up on the phone either with the name of device or something like this [unknown headset] or [b2.c3.f4.56.a1] (called a MAC address).

Either way, select it, and hit OK.

The phone will now ask you for a "Pin" or "Pass-code", which is a 4 digit number. Headsets will ALWAYS have 0000 (four zeros) as a pin or pass-code. I have never encountered a headset with a different number as a pass-code. I have been in wireless for 10 years, and still have not found a headset that has any different numbers.

Enter these four zeros and select "OK"

The headset and phone will connect to each other. The phone will display a message that will be something to the effect of:
"Connected to headset".

At this point, the phone MAY ask if you want to use the headset. This means all audio from phone calls would be routed to the headset rather than in to the phone's speaker or earpiece. Select yes, or ok.

Your headset is now set up for you to talk on like a REALLY important CIA agent or something of the like...

Keep in mind that when a call comes in, the phone will still ring like normal.

You can answer the call by either:

1. Pulling the phone out of your pocket and hitting the answer button.
2. Touching the answer/end button on your headset without reaching for you phone.

The range of your headset is up to 30 feet, in a direct line of sight.

If you go into another room, your range may be decreased.

If you do happen to go out of range, the call will be transferred back to the phone, and as soon as you are in range again, touch the answer button on the headset to let the phone know you're back in range. It will re-transfer the call back to the headset.

If you turn off the phone, or headset, you can repair them again simply by going to the blue tooth menu and selecting the headset again from the list. It will reconnect without a pass code and you are up and running again.

*** Please note that you do not have to hold down the answer/end button on the headset until it goes a solid on again.

If you did not yet set up a personal passcode for the blue tooth it should be 0000 or however zeros it may be. Im not exactly sure.

My htc touch earpiece stopped working i can use speaker phone and blue tooth but earpiece doesn't work.

hard rest factory default settings = when ur set is switched off press both buttons call and end key and then press power button on upside of pda for like 5 sec screen will appear asking to format all data take out ur card if u dont want to format that now confirm by pressing the centre action button in 4 side joystick and go

if doesnt work then

speaker is faulty just get it replaced it happens sometimes do give me a feed back about it

go to your phone tools and find voice command blue tooth and follow prompts . its all in the phone . the tooth is run by the phone. your blue tooth is only a reciever, the phone is the boss. good luck

HOW DO I MAKE A CALL USING THE VOICE COMMAND ON MY PHONE USING MY BLUE TOOTH

When the earpiece is in your ear the outside (blue part) is actually the multifuction key. Just press the button and say the command to make a call, and push the button again to hang up a call, it took me a day or two to figure that out too.
