I disconnected my battery and anti-theft code came up on my radio . i have 2003 acura tl s type. radio sereal # BA002234 stereo u3000 L2234. i need a code to unlock it

When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect it again, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your car radio.
The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. If you do not have this code you need to go to your vehicle manufacturer's service centre and get them to enter this code for you.

on the TL - 5 digit code for the radio; 4 for navi; numbers are typically on a sticker on the side of the glovebox (nearest radio) or rear truck arm (great security acura?). Need to unplug the antenna and then put in the code, reconnect the antenna and your back in business. search the net to learn how to access the back of the radio. typically needed after power is lost to the vehicle, new battery installed, etc.

The starter on a 2000 Acura 3.2 TL is located towards the front of the engine compartment on the drivers side below the battery. You might want to make sure you have the anti-theft codes for the radio and navigation system before you disconnect the battery. Check your owners manual there should be a card with the codes or they may be on a label in the glove box or under the ashtray. If not there you can call the dealer they can tell you where they are. This is part of your vehicle's anti theft system. You need to enter a 4 digit code to unlock your radio. Often, the dealer will write this code on a card, and put it in the owner's manual. If not, you need to go to the dealer, and they can look up your code, using the VIN number of your car. There isn't any other way to get this info.

In these vehicles, there is an anti-theft system embedded. In order to retrieve the code, call your local dealer.

The code is in numbers. If you look at your preset stations buttons, they have numbers on them 1-6.
Turn on the car key, enter the #'s code on the preset buttons. This must be done 5 or 6 times in a row, till the radio comes on. This is for anti-theft.

Most of the time that code is related to either a burned music cd being used. Its not every burned cd that causes it ,but there are some brands of cd's that are actually physically thicker than than a normal cd or some writables.belaeve it ir not this causes the cd to beunreadable by acura radio.once error code is set radio needs reset(pull battery cable for 30sec or so,reconnect)you will need anti theft radio code to re-enter into radio so be sure you have it,if not you would s/n off radio and any acura dealer con use s/n to retrive radio code from honda.note:if same cd is used again stereo you'll be back to square one again.GoodLuck

pull out the radio or back up fuse ...in the underhood fuse box for a few minutes and retry the code....

err-3 means you have entered incorrect anti-theft radio code more that three times.If you do not have radio code you can most of the time find the code card tucked away in the owners manual pouch.(looks like a bussiness card)If you are unable to find card you would have to pull radio from dash and retrive stereo serial number,which is on bottom side of radio.once you have s/n you can take s/n to any acura dealership(has to be a dealer)and they can get radio code for that stereo through Honda Corp.once you have correct radio code you will need to first unplug radio,or disconnect battery to reset radio memory,then type in radio code.again if entered incorrectly 3x ,radio would need to be reset again too clear error codes.good luck!

Press the #1 Preset button and #6 Preset button at the same time and while doing this with your other hand turn your radio on and your will get a stereo code. Call the dealer and see if they will give you the unlock code for the stereo code otherwise go to stereo-code.com and pay $ 28.00 to get it quick
