Color problem My TV is 6 years old and has picked up yellow tint. No matter how it is adjusted, it is eather yellow or green. Can yo tell me what the problem may be?

A yellow tint is most probably the cause of a burnt out lamp. There are usually 3 lamps 1 for each main color sounds like one of them went.

welcome to Fixya, it sounds like you may have a weak CRT (picture tube)
If the TV is over 6 years old that may be the case.
There are RED, Blue and Green color balance adjustments that you can try .
referencing the exact model one could see how it adjusts.

The color signal consists of Red, Green and Blue. Those three colors, at various degrees, make all the other colors on your screen.

If you have a BRIGHT green screen it's best you don't operate your set.
If it's just tinted green then there is a problem on the CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) drive board. Do check your "tint" setting and see if someone misadjusted it. If that isn't it then you need to have your set on an electronics bench and get an estimate for repair.

Check all cables,replaced all cables if more than couple years old.After that the same,ur tv have one dead color gun,require service.

it should have a year warranty get it in for warranty repair before the warranty runs out or someone tells you the wrong thing to go and the tv ends up as a big paperweight...

lg70 nice tv excellent processor just to bad there is no intensity control on color management oh well still better than what the three s are pushing block out the hype lg will be number 1 in a few years haters are starting to come around and well leds coming,

p.s. i dont work for lg just tired of losers bashing stuff because they dont own it.

Take time to get used to the settings, you may think the screen looks dull at first. The truth is most people have way too much contrast on their TVs.

Not sure if this is the solution, but I believe the color polarizer filters have been burned. I have a yellow haze circle on mine and I'm pretty sure that's the problem. In my case the blue filter is burned, leaving the red and green stronger yeilding a yellow blur.

Loose connections in CTR board ( picture tube), resolder it.

use the advanced options page and reset the factor blue and red convergence defaults then do re apply the auto color defaults color at first it seemed very red (which is good because red was the missing factor in the green picture) but after reseting all the color and tints to the normal ranges I then reset the color auto correct again and all seems fine.
