You need to remove splash shield, tilt mixer back, with a long screwdriver adj. the set screwclockwise to decrease clearance for beater to bowl clearance, always use b beater when making adj. clearance should be .054" to .115".also make sure there are no deformities in btm of bowl which can cause you problems.dont forget to vote
Do you need to loosen the big lock-nut first? It is located just below the setscrew when the mixer is on its back. I am not sure what tool I need to loosen the nut if I need to. I have a picture of it I can share if helpful. I could not post it here, so would have to email it.
My A200 does not tip back. It has a bowl lift, and the nut at the bottom of the lift rod controls bowl position.
You have to remove the base to get at this nut.
