When I turn on the camera, I have a blank screen. I can view the last pictures I took but can not take another picture. Any ideas????

If you press the magnifying glass button when in playback mode, the data dissappears. I don't know if that fully answers your question, though.

Do the pictures turn out solid black but you can still see the menus on the camera and play back old pictures?
Or is the LCD solid black and shows nothing and so you can't do anything with the camera?

If the pictures are solid black but you can see menus then your CCD is defective and you will have to replace it or the entire lens assembly (which includes the CCD).

If the LCD is black and you can't see anything, then you have an LCD problem and that will most likely have to be replaced.

One solution would be to buy a defective camera online and do the work yourself, switch out parts and make one good camera.
