I have a Pentax Optio A20. I currently user an Sandisc Ultra II 1.0 GB card. I can't find those cards anymore. I'm not sure if the camera will support a SanDisk 4GB UltraII SDHC Card or a SanDisk 2GB Secure Digital Card. Will this camera take an SDHC card? Thank you

No, you cannot use SDHC cards with the 450. You can only use MMC and SD cards, 2GB and smaller.

use SD car reader to extract all photos. then format the memory card.

Have you tried formatting the card in the camera first?

You need to format a new card in the camera.

The maximum supported memory for Pentax Optio 430 is 256mb and for Pentax Optio 430 RS is 512mb.

It will not work with any "sdhc"

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

If that doesn't work, try another card.

I have a friend who had an s4i with a 1gig sd card with no problems.
