I edited the windows register but now laptop boots but nothing works, (mouse keyboard etc)
Is there any way to restore previous register.

Did you back up the registry 1st if not you going to have to reinstal operating system

yes if you can type regedit in the run command window yhen go to options at the top of regedit window hit import or restore and navigate to the backup file or if you used a 3rd part registry editor use it to restore or use system restore and restore machine to a date befor you edited the registry ......in future their is a program called registry clean expert v4.66 (is one of the few registry programs that work with vista or windows 7 most registry programs in vista or windows 7 do a continous loop and don.t fix the registry corectly but this program does wonders)
