On most DVD/CD players (including ones build into PC's and TV's) there is a hole in the front of the tray into which something like an opened paper clip can be pushed into to activate an emergency tray release to enable the user to recover a trapped disc. If this is not the case then you will need to "go in" unless your device is still under warranty in which case you should contact Mintek customer support (look in you user manual for information).

I cant get my dvd player to power off so that my tv can come back on. I keep hearing the dvd player make a sound but off is constantly displaying on it. I cant get my tv back on and i keep hit the power...

Remove the power and manually turn the loading mechanism to eject the DVD whichis struck up inside the player. Now if the DVD circuit seems to hang up again you can disconnect the connector to the main board to switch on the TV.

I cant eject the DVD. It keeps saying "Please

Hi,

Try pressing repeatedly the eject button while you turn on the unit. If this doesn't work then it is a mechanically problem in your player. You need to be manually open to take out the dvd.The rubber thread which should be connected to the motor inside the DVD player might have moved from its place.
You need to place the rubber thread to proper place.

Furthermore, if the belt is slipping, the mechanism never gets the "drawer closed" signal, and the disk will not spin.

After a DVD player has been used for awhile, another common problem is that the laser in the DVD player becomes misaligned, inhibiting its ability to read DVDs. So it indicates the defective laser motor. The only way to fix this problem is to bring the unit to a service center for repair.

Hope this helps.

My dcd is working but cant read file

You must use a writeable DVD to burn files. You need to match your DVD burner to the proper DVD disc. They are not all alike.
