Question about Washing Machines

1 Answer

We are relocating and the moving company said we need a "moving kit" for our Whirlpool Cabrio Washer. I have no idea if the washer came with bolts or what happened to them. Does this model require special handling during a move? If so, what should I do?

I am having a problem with my Cabrio top load. It starts the cycle on wash but when it gets to the drain and spin part and code LD comes up? Any idea what may be wrong? I can unplug it for a while and...

W10049390 is the part you need to clean out or replace. Most likely it needs to be replaced. Lay the washer on its front face side remove back cover bought 6-8 1/4 in bolts remove hose's from pump and bolts and wire plug clean or replace and reassemble in reverse. DISCONNECT UNIT FROM POWER PRIOR TO MOVING IT!

WHIRLPOOL CABRIO WASHER

LD means long drain and will require a drain pump replacement. The new pump is totally different from the old one so unless you are very crafty and good at figuring out puzzles, you may need to have a service company come out.

WTW6400SW2 cabrio washer won't drain, humming?

okay, so move your unit away from the wall, if possible take it outside. you need to disconnect the water, power and take the drain out of the wall. tilt it forward so you can get behind it and under it, just rest it on a wall but not too much, on the bottow you will see a pump with 2 blue wires, and 3, 5/16 bolts, take out the bolts and get a bucket ready if your inside it holds about 2-4 gallons if you have scooped most of the water out before hand. take the 2 spring clamps off the rubber joint and pull out what ever is in your drain pump, use your fingers to work it out.

Code f50

It has a faulty control board. sorry but this a bad part from the factory. There is class action lawsuit against whirlpool about it. Call and complain and then maybe they will pay to fix it.

Moving

you just need to refit the transit bolts which you removed when you had machine new. if you have lost them, pack some polystyrene blocks between tub and cabinet so the assemby is held tight
