I have a DSLR Sony A350. When I turn it on the "Live View" screen does not go on. Why?
There is a switch on top of the unit right of the flash that says Live View / OVF. This must be set to Live View to use the LCD for taking pictures.
There is also a battery saver function. It shuts the screen off after 30 seconds or so of inactivity. Does it come one after you snap a pic?
Also you could try this.
I would defiantly use new batteries because that could be a factor.Remove memory card.
remove batteries.
Replace with fresh batteries after a minute of sitting.
If you don't have new batteries you can try the old ones.
Turn it on and see if the problem still occurs.
Also please tell me everything you have already tried.

I should have articulated that I did that. Also, all the other screen options work (ISO, Fn, Menu, etc.) It's just when you first turn on the camera on it use to show all the basic settings and ratings like battery strength etc. Now when I turn the camera on the screen remains blank. Your thoughts?
Most excellent - Thank you!
