If there are no beep codes, it will be hard to troubleshoot this. It could be bad RAM. Try using only one stick at a time. Also, disconnect all USB peripherals (especially printers and scanners). Try disconnecting your keyboard as well (BIOS should give a "keyboard error" message). The problem is most likely RAM, CPU, or the motherboard itself.

Systemax Ascent HA3200 RTS won't boot - fans come on - no display

The motherboard seems OK as it is displaying signs of life. The Monitor should display something before booting up, which it is not. Please do the following. 1. Remove the RAM and reinsert the DIMMs into their sockets and boot up. 2. Disconnect the HDD data cable from the HDD and the motherboard and reconnect. Boot up. 3. Disconnect the monitor and reconnect. Boot up. At boot up press F2 and set the PC to default settings. Boot up. Later when you want to apply your settings, keep noting down what you did when. Just in case.

Cannot shut off & no display

The eMachines M5105 is notorious for failing to boot if left unplugged and powered off long enough for the battery to become mostly discharged. Plugging it in to AC power will cause the battery to start charging; and the hard disk drive to spin while the CPU cooling fan cycles on and off vigorously. THE UNIT WILL NOT BOOT UNTIL THE BATTERY IS NEAR FULLY CHARGED; then THE AC DISCONNECTED; and then THE (charged) BATTERY REMOVED AND RE-INSTALLED! Most units will boot after following the foregoing procedure.

Long beep when power on PC

Usually any kind of clear distinctive beep while booting up is an error code. If you get a long beep with no display then it could be the memory or CPU. Check to make sure all of your cards are pushed in all the way. Just take your hand and push on your memory, cpu, and other cards gently but firmly to make sure they are seated. Also make sure that everything is connected. You may have missed connecting power to something.

Emachine Will not boot

different beeping patterns are codes which indicate what part of the hardware has failed (ram, video card, cpu, ect). the fan failure would not cause beeps, and would not cause the cpu to fail unless already in windows. if you could find out the manufacturer of your motherboard you could check with them about what the paticular pattern of beeps which you are getting mean.
