Use Scheduled Tasks to create a Task to launch the program you wish to, at the date/time desired, or setup a reoccurring task. How you actually DO that depends entirely upon the OS you have...but there should be an option to "wake this computer up to perform..." or similar. Remember to place your PC in 'sleep' or 'standby' mode.....not Hibernate or Off. Tallon41
The moon icon usually indicates that your machine is in SLEEP mode. Try closing and opening the screen lid. If not, there might be a problem with your laptop waking up from sleep mode. Try holding the power button. This will turn it off. Turn it on again by pressing the power button once more. Hope this helps! Have a nice day.
Here the list of FUJTISU SIEMENS-AMILO models and where the wireless switch is located. Hope this will helps. Check what family your laptop belongs to then turn on the wireless swith using the list below:

On most computers, you can resume working by pressing your computer's power button. However, not all computers are the same. You might be able to wake your computer by pressing any key on the keyboard, clicking a mouse button, or opening the lid on a laptop.
It just need an interruption to wake from the sleep mode so its perfectly ok to do so by any key or by the power key....
If you can restart it and it starts up fine, then I would go into the power settings and disable sleep mode. Every computer is different on how to wake a sleeping computer, so you could read through your manuals and find out for yours, but I just disable sleep mode on all computers so i dont have to hassle with it.
when you close the lid it will hibernate, pressing any key does not work, you normally have to press the power button and it will power back up and show the screen and the running programmes, i think you are getting confused with sleep mode where the pc can wake opn keyboard.
