It would help if you gave the brand and model number of your dishwasher, but the answer is basically the same. Look carefully at your dishwasher control panel. You probably have a little lock symbol that is lit up (or a light inside the symbol is lit). And usually this lock symbol is located near (usually above) a button that is usually used for another purpose. Most often this is the Heated-Dry key or button. Press and hold this key for 3 to 5 seconds until the lock symbol light goes out. And it's just that easy! But if you press the key, and nothing happens, then you may have a bad control console that will have to be replaced.

From what you have described your Frigidaire washer is not operating and it is displaying the word "lock". Typically, the "lock' stands for the control lock feature. If you look at your control panel you should see a padlock symbol depending on your model you should be able to hold down the button that is near that symbol for three to five seconds. That should release the lock if you need any further assistance please reconnect and provide me with your model number. I understand that you are asking what the yellow light with a lock button on your Frigidaire washer means. Typically a lock symbol stands for control lock. I notice you did not provide your model number, if you comment back with your model number I would like to research to verify the information. Normally you can locate the serial tag (which lists your model number) on the upper front of the door frame on a front load washer. If you own a top load washer you would normally find the serial tag on the inside of the lid, on the right side. I look forward to your response.-Matt

Are you sure it is the Dry light that is lit, or is it the little Lock symbol located ABOVE the Dry button that is lit? If it's the latter, you can turn off that light (turn off the control lock) by pressing and holding the Dry light for 4 or 5 seconds until that light goes off.

press and hold key for 5 seconds

If you press and hold the button above the lock icon for 3-5 seconds,the lock light should go off. Then it will operate normally..hope that helps

try turning breaker off for ten mins.

did you try holding that button for 3 secs, it should unlock it

I solved my problem by disconnecting from the power source and then reconnecting, apparently it needed to be reset, it now works fine!
