My daughter bought this tv/dvd combo for her son and it was a display model but did not have a remote or manual. We are not sure how to get the dvd to open up or just to even set it up. depending on the model remote and if the remote controls the volume and power, then yes you should be able to..let me know if you need more help or if you have the remote type.
Possibly. However, I would try rebooting the unit first. Unplug the TV from the power supply for about 5 minutes. Then reconnect and try to turn the unit on. If it still does not work, plug a lamp into the wall socket where you have the TV plugged into. If the lamp lights, then you're getting power to the wall socket. If you have the TV plugged into one of those "power strips" check that it is turned on. If so, plug the TV directly into the wall socket. If it comes on, then you have a bad power strip. If the TV still does not come on, you'll probably need repair service.
you should be able to get a Universal remote and the codes for your TV. you'll most likely have to sit and enter codes till you get the right one though.
If your tv is blowing fuses you may have a short in it. The fuse is a safety feature. Best thing to do is bring it to a repair shop. Go to... TV repair near you
Yes the GE universal remote #24914 works to change your Ilo tv from analog to digital and switch to vid1 or vid2 ect.... The code is in the book that comes with the remote. I use this remote myself. This remote can be bought at Target for under $10.It works all the features.
