Microsoft Xbox 360 Console Logo

Graphical issues Last night I was playing COD4:MW2 and all of a sudden my tv goes to another screen with all red, blue, and white colors only. I thought it was just a minor error, so I waited for the next day and started playing again. Instead when I turn it on and get to the dash board, it goes all white and blue screen. I think it might have to do with the graphic card on the xbox 360. I've been having this xbox 360 since 2007. All the wires and plugs are still functional.

SAMSUNG LD TV - VIDEO PROBLEM

Make sure that your video is connected to the video port on your TV. Also check to see if you are using the proper channel (component) on your TV.

Most issues occur when the cables are plugged into the wrong port. Some are color coded. Red goes to red, white goes to white and yellow goes to yellow.

Ilo 42" Wide Screen LCD TV...Picture Malfunction

From some of the forum threads I've read about this, it seems like there were early issues due to bad firmware, but they have all be resolved with the recent updates. It also appears to be very easy to replace the hard drive. Just swap it out, format from the menu and you are done.

u will neeed to get it updated

Recently(within the past 6 months...) have been having a problem with my L37HDTV10A. The picture always takes a yellow hue. This applies to every input accross the board, and changing hue and color...

Hi.

A digital TV handles the color in three channels, red green and blue. Your TV has a problem on the red channel. That causes pictures getting yellowish. The computer functions can compensate the fault, but that is not a solution. If the problem happens on every input and also with internal tuner, then the logic circuits that elaborate video signal are defective. The main board is usually replaced to fix the problem. Before replacing the main digital board the technician can check if any repairable fault is found. A contact in one of the input for example may short the circuit affecting one of the color channels. In that case the tech will only need to resolder the connector on board to fix the problem. More commonly the whole board must be replaced.

Installed a new set top box last night and all the channels are black and white - no colour at all - confused!!

vron63

Check your cables between the receiver and your TV to make sure the colors match. If you are using a component cable (green, blue, red, white, red), not matching colors at both ends will give you what appears to be a black and white picture. I hope this helps.

Red, green and blue colours diveded on my TV

ok well "tube" tellys as they are called use an electro magnet to keep the picture stable and colours correct its called gaussing now if you have a speaker or something magnetic nearby it will stuff up the colors but only normally producing colors like purple, green, or white
if you have colors across the screen (that aren't caused by magnetic force) then you need to take it to a repairer or decide wether or not to buy a new one this issue can turn out to be quite hard to fix and can be expensive the different colored electron guns may be burning or burnt out causing pale color or it could be as simple as a power transistor in the H.V supply has shorted out..and causing power issues to the tube.
hope this helps,ben

Cod4 'sometimes works online'

just wait for Modern Warfare 2. I play COD4 all the time and the problems are getting worse for everyone, not just you. Mine sometimes takes forever to get there, sometimes it doesn't and I have to restart, or the Playstation Network kicks me off a million times a night. 11-10-09 and COD MW2 will be out and then we can deal with all those problems :)

DVD won't play movies in color

RCA cable connectors (red, white, yellow) are usually for an analog setup. You could still use these for "component" setup, but know the difference with color stamps as follows:

Component color stamps are "blue, green, red" ( blue is marked Pb, green is marked Y, red is marked Pr)

RCA color stamps your using are "red, white, yellow"

Here are the proper hook up method for "Component" using your "RCA" connectors:

On both the TV and DVD component setup:

Plug the red RCA fitting in the component port marked "Pr (red)

Plug the white RCA fitting in the component port marked "Pb (blue)

Plug the yellow RCA fitting in the component port marked "Y (green)

Be sure this setup is the same for the TV's component input ports, and the DVD's component output ports.

i-Note:

For optimum picture quality you may want to purchase component cables as the gage is thicker giving better impedance match resulting in better picture and sound quality.

DVD player not working right

Check your cables between your DVD player and the TV, this play has component video outputs that could possibly cause this issue.
