Renault replaced mine for free last year but mine was a 2005 model and they seem to say that four year olds is about the limit they will replace for free.....give them a try !
The lcd screens give a lot of trouble they break very very easy and can rarely be fixed best bet is to get a dealor to have a quick look at it they prob wont even charge you.
