Tip: The max point reward for answering a question is 15.
SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.
The reset is on the settings menu, it does not have a reset button.
To get to the settings menu press the menu button then press the right button on the controller to get to the setting menu.
When you are on the setting menu you need to go down using the down arrow on the controller to the 3rd page were the reset option is. Press right to access the reset options then select Reset then ok.
Press and hold the playback button for 2 seconds. The camera should turn on and be in playback mode. Switch to Camera Mode by opening the from slider cover. Hope that fixes it. See Pentax Z10 Manual Page 34. http://www.pentaximaging.com/files/manual/OptioZ10.pdf
