Hello my name is Matthew and my oven won't turn on the top part of the stove work fine but the oven just won't lite up. Itls gas and the glow plug turn's on but iit don't lite up. When I turn the burners on I can hear the gas but the oven I don't hear anything. Here is the model # FGF316WGSG Please help out my apt. Magt. Don't know anything. Thanks and have a blessed day.

Stove top works , oven does not

If the ignitor is not glowing to lite the oven then it needs to be replaced. Here is that part to order.

check if the igniter is getting a 110 volt power if yes replace the igniter

I have a Maytag gas stove model MGR5730BDW. The oven won't light. The broiler works just fine. The bottom ingiter glows orange and gets hot but the burner won't light.

Hello, Thank You for using FixYa. I will be helping you today.Just because the ignitor glows does not mean its good..switch the two around and see if the oven comes on. They still glow even when they start to go bad.

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. Oven won't light, but the stove top burners are fine. Don't smell any gas or any indication the oven is attempting to light....

next time send the brand name and model number so i can look up your machine,if it's a gas stove most likely it will be a bad ignitor,even if the ignitor glows it still could be bad,if the flame doesn't ignite and the ignitor is glowing change it out,if it isn't glowing pull out the ignitor and check it with a meter,common problem.

I have an Amana gas stove and oven. Model - ARG7200w The range top works fine. Oven not working. Whwn you turn the thermostat control up the little red oven light comes on but the glow plug never gets hot.

Replace the glow bar ignitor.

My oven stopped working...it still has power however the gas will not turn on in the range. The stove top burners work fine. Any suggesstions?

Stove top works oven wont heat on 465

the ignitor needs replacing, that's the glow that you see. it's not getting hot enough to open the safety valve.
