Kitchenaid Side by Side Refrigerator minus the cold air?

I have Kitchenaid side by side refrigerator model #KSRS251HSS00 Serial #SK2343637 manufactured from the year 2000. The problem is my fan will continue to run, but has seized to blow any type of cold air? I came home after a weekend of being away and found that the fridge was blowing warm air and lost all of the food in the fridge and freezer, not to mention the thawed out mess clean up. I took off the back portion of the fridge and found that the tank in which the coolant comes from has seized to kick on. It used to make a clicking sound and the cold air would kick in, now it clicks on and after a few short seconds it clicks off again. Thus no cold air, or any kind of refrigeration?

Your compressor has issues. some times the start relay goes bad or the compressor windings are shot. thats why it clicks on then off .a service tech can install a "3-n-1 hard start on it. sometimes that works. good luck

My freezer works fine it's my refiidgator doesn't

Check that foods in freezer are not blocking the vent which allows cold air to refrigerator. Newer refrigerators have only one cooling unit in the freezer. Cold air must be free to enter the refrigerator section.

Refridgerator side is getting warm

the refrigerator side of most modern day units only gets cold by cold air being blown over from the freezer side so check the fan in the freezer to make sure it is working as well as check the damper that opens and closes to let cold air over to the refrigerator side

I have a KitchenAid side by side refrigerator that the freezer is cold but the refrigerator side is not cold enough. I have turned it off and on, cleaned under the refrigerator and set the digital controls...

It is likely the defrost not working and ice blocking the path between the two sides. I have the same problem with a jenn-aire. For mine, there are several possibilities. Defrost thermostat or contol board are the most likely. All of them work similarly. Keep looking on this site and you will find others with your model that have had the same problem.

I guess I am lucky because mine was not working on either side yesterday. I thought replacing the relay on the compressor was the only thing I needed to fix...wrong.

I am working on it again today. Hope this will help you.

Fridge not cooling

your defroster seems to be out. This is located in the space between your freezer and fridge where your temp. control is. This defroster can be purchased at an appliance parts supply take model number and serial number with you in order to get the correct part. Once part is obtained follow instructions and unplugg unit before servicingf

Freezer side cold ref side not kitchenaid ksrs25ilwh02

In side-by-sides, typically the refrigerator gets its cooling from the freezer.
I would first check the control on the refrigerator side to see if it has been turned down.
If this isn't the case, it may have a blockage for the transfer of the air.

No cold air coming into the fridg

iF YOUR REFRIGERATOR SETTING IS HIGH, YOU NEED TO LOWER THE SETTING IN ORDER TO GET IT COLDER.
If you still have no air flow, there is a fan that blows cold air from the freezer to the refrigerator. The motor could be burned out.

Freezer too cold frosty, and refrigerator section too warm

Sounds like a defrost problem if the evaporator is frozen over. If it's just Ice blocking air transfer on a top freezer model, then it's a blocked defrost drain.
